by Eddy Friday November 8th 2019
Planet Ark's National Recycling Week is the annual opportunity for residents, workplaces, schools and councils to brush up on their knowledge to become successful recyclers.
More than 90% Australians agree that recycling it is the right thing to do.
Hosted by Planet Ark, National Recycling Week 2019 aims to educate communities on recycling and effective waste management. Recycle Week is a celebration of recycling, with the aim to encourage the public to recycle more, by demonstrating the benefits of recycling items from all around the home.
National Recycling Week is a highly regarded annual campaign continues to educate and stimulate behaviour change, by promoting kerbside, industrial and community recycling initiatives. It also aims to give people the tools to minimise waste and manage material resources responsibly at home, work and school.
What is the main aim of recycling?
Recycling goods for new goods saves energy and reduces the amount of industrial work that needs to be done to create a new product. It reduces greenhouse gas emissions and thus reduces global warming and air pollution. Recycling also reduces waste in global landfills
